We got home Thurs. afternoon about 3:30. Joe had his dialysis treatment up at my daughter’s, by Austin, TX. Tues. afternoon at 3:30. Then we left her place at 7:00 Wed. morning, drove 950 miles, got to Altoona, Iowa, just east of Des Moines, at 10:30. Had really good driving, the weather was great. Just one accident that slowed us down for about 10 minutes. North of Fort Worth, TX. A semi was on the inside lane, and jack knifed, the cab hit the big cement wall that divides the lanes, knocked it over and the cab was sitting up on top of the wall. I don’t know what happened, the roads were fine, so I don’t know if he went to sleep or had a heart attack or something. Anyway, that was the only time we were slowed down at all. We stayed at Altoona, and went gambling for a little while the next morning. Our granddaughter, ment us on her lunch hour at 11:00, at McDonald’s, then we headed for home, got to Cedar Rapids, stopped at Walmart and got some bread & milk, and got home about 3:30. Then had the fun job of unloading the Van. Joe had his dialysis treatment at 4:30, in Cedar Rapids, yesterday, Friday, and didn’t get out of there until 9:15. I mowed the yard before we went to Cedar Rapids yesterday, the grass was really long. It was around 60-65 yesterday. Had a beautiful day today, was 65 – 70. Tomorrow is supposed to be 70 or more. So really nice since we got home. Hope you all have a safe trip home, and have a great Summer, and plan on seeing you in the Fall. Take care.
