I apologize for sending you all this canned follow up plea for support. But now is the time I need your help for the kids with cancer. Disregard if you already donated to St Baldricks. Did you know that every two minutes, somewhere in the world a child is diagnosed with cancer? Or that more children in the U.S are lost to cancer than any other disease? This is why I’m shaving my head on February 26, 2017 at DHR Conference Center in Edinburg to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Now I need your help! My goal is to raise $7,000. I am only about 50% there at $3,250. Will you make a donation?
Your investment supports the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has granted more than $200 million to find cures for kids with cancer. This is all thanks to the generosity of donors like you!
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity known for their head-shaving events. While these events are a lot of fun, the real goal is to raise money to fund research that saves kids’ lives.
By shaving my head, I am standing in solidarity with kids who typically lose their hair during treatment. This year, I’m fundraising to honor five. Honored Kids whose courageous battle against cancer inspired me to do more. Its kids like these who will benefit from the research your donation will help fund.
Please visit my personal fundraising page at www.stbaldricks.org/participants/wayne to make a donation and learn more about the Honored Kids. You can also donate by calling 888.899.BALD(2253). Just tell them you want to donate in support of me at the Edinburg Event.
Thank you so much for being a hero to kids with cancer. Together, we will make a difference.
Sincerely,
Wayne Chapman St. Baldrick’s Foundation Volunteer
