Hi Wayne & Gloria,  Hope you guys are nice and warm down there, it really cooled of up here.  I might have to get my Winter coat

out yet. Please put the following information on the Alamo Website for me.  I really appreciate you doing that.

Talk to you later.  Clara

Update on Joe

Joe is doing really good, been going to dialysis every Mon. Wed. & Friday

Been dancing every Tues. & Thur. nights, like we were always doing. Last

night we had a 90th Birthday dance at the Elks Club in Cedar Rapids.  Had

good food and a nice dance.

Today, we went to our two little great grandkids birthday party.  Our little Julien

turned 3 on Nov. 3rd, and little Audrie will be 6 on Nov. 28th. We celebrated

their birthdays together  this afternoon.

I wish I was in Texas, it turned cold Sat.  and about  blowed  us away.  It got down

to 29 here last night.  But, I am just glad we are getting the snow that South Dakota

& Minnesota got.  It was real sunny today, no wind, that really makes a difference.

It got up to 42 today.

I told you last week, about Joe’s boy coaching Iowa City Regina Football, and won

the  Semi-finals.  Well, things didn’t go good for them in the championship game

Friday.  They were tied at the 1st quarter, and tied again at half time, but they had so

many penalties and mistakes, it didn’t even look like the same team out there. And

the team they were playing was who they beat out of the championship last year,

so they really had a chip on their shoulder, they were out to get Regina. But Regina

has a record that will not be beat for a long time, they have been the State

Football Champions, in Iowa, for 6 years in a row. So they have a lot to be proud of.

Tues. Joe has an counciltation  with the surgeon, about putting the permanent

port in his arm.  Then we  will know when they are going to do that.  Then on

Nov. 29th, he will have his heart checked again, to see how that is doing. So that

Is what we are waiting for, so we can make plans to go to Texas.

But Joe is doing really good, I will update you again next week. We would like

to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving, and have a great week.

Thanks again for all your prayers, phone calls, and cards. Like I said before, it

makes you feel so good when you have so many wonderful friends.

Thank you for the nice card from all of our family at the Alamo Paradise Park.

Bye for now.  Clara
