Gene had a hip replacement about a month ago. He had recovered to the point of only using a cane for assistance.  Monday his cane failed him, the rubber tip was worn through, consequently the tip of the cane slipped on the surface it was in contact with and Gene took a digger.  Surgery was performed on the same hip the replacement was done on. Basically it sounds like they redid the hip replacement.  He hopes to be out of the hospital in a day or two and on the road to recovery again.  We talked to him yesterday and he seemed to be in pretty good spirits, other than disgusted with the turn of events.   Geo & Karyn
