Hi Everyone,

Summer is flying by.  It has been very hot here lately and VERY dry.  
Since August 1, we have had just over one-half inch of rain.  Although 
about 30 miles south of us got 2 1/2 inches last weekend.  Farmers think 
the corn is this area might be okay because of early rains, but the 
soybeans are going to be really small.

We have kept busy with our garden.  We have done some weekend camping, 
but not as much as usual because it has been so hot.

Our brother-in-law, Arlo Sloan, had a knee replacement on Aug. 29.  He 
got along well and is doing therapy now 3 times a week.

We are hoping to leave for Texas around the first week of November again 
this year.
